Friday Favorites: One Less Problem

Happy Friday, everyone! Linking up with the lovely Amanda again!

I feel like a fricken unicorn with rainbows shooting out of its ass because I've finally found some inner peace. I feel like a HUGE weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. I pretty much got rid of an extremely toxic relationship and I feel pretty damn good about it. So there it is, my Friday Favorite. Sure it's rough since we've been friends for so long, but it had to happen. Cut the cord to venture onward and upward to a place that is full of happiness. I would go into what happened to make my final decision, but really all it took was for them to do/say one more stupid thing to make me wave up my hands and say "EFF THAT! DONE! Have fun being miserable and blaming everyone/everything but yourself for your problems!" Like seriously...

It was one of those where it sucks the life out of you and now I'm like...

This person ALWAYS looked to the negative, it was just exhausting. Does anyone else have someone in their life like that? It really takes a toll on you. People just need to learn that they are in charge of their own happiness. Maybe I've kept this person in  my life hoping that I could change their outlook on their own life, but one can only do so much.

I'm REALLY looking forward to this weekend. My training for my 15k in October has commenced and I'm headed toward new fitness goals! There's nothing better than the feeling of progress both mentally and physically.

Cheers and TGIF!!!!

  2. I have cut ties with a few people that I was friends with for a long time because you are right, toxic relationships take so much out of you! I literally could't take it anymore.

Hope you have a great, free weekend!

  3. OH girl....been there....done that. Just happened recently, too. Life was just drama with this person and it was constantly the worst thing ever. Her job, her friends, the weather, her signifigant other...it was just too much. I found myself becoming drained, daily. There's only so much positive spin I can put on someone else's life, ya know?!!?

Glad you feel better. You'll realize how much easier life is when you're not being dragged down. It is clear we are both better off, right?!

Have a fAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAbulous weekend, and good luck with your training!

  4. My theory is if you don't bring something good and positive into my life then get the fuck out! Seriously this may sound harsh but negative, toxic people will never make your life better!!! I was married to one, I know lol

  15. Sometimes you just have to let them go. It takes up way to much of your energy to try and get them to think more positively. It's tough but good riddance.

  17. Soooo true! I always like saying "you are your environment" and if it's toxic it seeps into your own happiness. Good for you for cleaning your life of toxicity!
