Confessions & Unfortunate Happenings

There have been quite a few snafoos in the news lately and what a great time to bring them up in Confessions with Kathy along with other ridiculousness!

+ I confess that wardrobe malfunctions are the best. Especially when they're unexpected and REALLY bad. Like this one. Thanks Bachelorette. How appropriate it being hump day at all. (get it? hump day? camels? camel...okay yeah you get it.) But seriously ABC, this is quite a sad grasp to raise your ratings. You can't tell me NO ONE noticed that hoof in between her legs before going on camera. If you look really fast it doesn't even look like she's wearing pants!

+ I confess that now my bff is about to graduate nursing school, I'm one of THOSE people who insist on treating her like WebMD on demand. I suddenly got violently ill the other day at work and my first reaction was to text her to make sure I wasn't dying. I hope she gets used to this.

+ I confess that I love how Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism effed up their graduates' diplomas with a misspelling when they automatically fail a class for doing such things. #embarrassing #journocredruined

+ I confess that while other people might think what Sting did was a dick move by saying that he wasn't going to give any of his money to his kids down the line, I think it's smart to want your kids responsible for their own success in life. However...giving them $1 million each out of his $305 million fortune isn't asking for TOO much.

+ I confess that the hubs and I argued with each other as to whether peanut butter M&Ms or Reese's Pieces were better. You think you know a person! Clearly peanut butter M&Ms are. (The ones in the orange bag, not to be confused with peanut M&Ms). Then he decided to completely insult my top snack choices. He didn't know what Take 5s were either. This is what happens on G-chat mid-afternoon. We're all about having important discussions in a mature fashion.

+ I confess that I got way too excited over the Saved by the Bell's Lifetime movie that is a tell-all as to what went on behind-the-scenes of the TV show based on Dustin Diamond's (Screech) book, Behind The Bell. However I'm mildly upset over who is playing Zack Morris (one of my first celeb crushes ever). Those eyebrows have to go. Now.

+ I confess that while I love running for charity, the swag they offer helps me determine whether or not I'll sign up for that particular race over another one. I know I'm an awful person. But if you're going to charge me $60 to run myself to death, I better get a fancy tech shirt and a bib with my name on it. Or an awesome post race party with food.

+ I confess that I'm an email hoarder. I have 1,961 emails in my inbox and I convince myself that I need to keep them as a reference. Also, I'm too lazy to actually go through them all now.

+ I confess that I still haven't mailed in my application to the social security office to legally change my name because well, I just have so much going on. Also, I fear that my application will get lost in the mail since umm the government. I'd love to just go to the office myself but of course their hours are from fricken 9am-3pm. Really? Those were my hours in elementary school. Grow the eff up, government entities. I'll give you a cookie? Some peanut butter M&Ms?

+ I confess that one of my biggest pet peeves is when you say "hi" to someone in the hallway or passing by and they clearly hear you...and ummm they keep on walking and say nothing back. Ummm rude?

Confessions aside, I would REALLY like some kind of answer to some aspect in my life sometime soon. There are so many questions up in the air right now it's enough to make me go nuts. I.e. a house, career, what will happen in OITNB? But seriously, instead of banging my head against a wall...

  3. How did they send her out like that, I thought she wasn't even wearing pants at first. I've never heard of the Saved by the Bell movie, I need to see this when it comes out!!

  4. Sorry Reese's Pieces :) My personal email box is out of control....I need to unsubscribe. Like right now it says I have 500 unread emails :) Changing your name is such a pain...I am just now doing it. I've made it through SS and DL, now all the other stuff has to be done.

  5. Oh dear lord... what in the world is going on with new Zach's eyebrows?!? No. Just no. They need to do something about that ASAP. And I will eat anything with peanut butter so Reese's Pieces, Peanut Butter M&M's... bring 'em on! And I hope the Bachelorette threw those pants out immediately after seeing that... awful!

  6. My bff is in nursing school and I do the same thing always sending her all my symptoms!

  7. I have to vote for Reese's Pieces. I completely agree about the run stuff. If I'm paying to run, it better be awesome free crap. I had to set a limit on my 5Ks because I just can't reason out paying $50 for a run and a tshirt. Nope, nope, nope. And I completely understand the frustration of waiting on answers before you can plan out the next move. Me, "I just wanna find a place to live, can't you just tell me where I'm going??" Navy: "IZ NOT FOR YOU!!"

  8. Looked quickly and though, "My goodness, no pants!" Any near-skin shade of apparel seems risky to me, but especially skin tight pants. Also got a good kick out of "itegrated marketing."

  9. I HATE when people don't say hi or bye to you when you know they clearly heard you. This pisses me off the most when I'm hosting at work. Like, bitch, I asked if everything was excellent tonight and told you to have a wonderful evening. I'm a human, don't just ignore me!

That camel though....dear god. Somebody let that woman go on national tv like that? So bad!

  10. oh my goodness, that camel toe is horrendous. i dont like either candy haha but i would pick peanut butter m&m's over reeses fo shiz.

  11. Peanut Butter m&m's are the BEST, favourite type of candy/chocolate for sure. YUM! Haha and I agree 100% with the comments about Andi's pants, so unfortunate. I loved reading all of your confessions, they made me laugh! :)

  12. Peanut butter M&Ms are way better and I love Reese cups. Reese Pieces are just gross. Also, when someone passes me in the hall and doesn't reciprocate my hi I highly consider turning around and talking them forcing a response. That may be illegal though... I'll have to check lol.

  18. hahah I noticed that on Andi too. I thought I was the only one! Also I hope they will be giving out new diplomas for that error! Like wtf!

  19. There is so much to reply to in this post! Ok here goes
    1. Watched the bachelorette and totally didn't catch that - happy I didn't lol
    2. I will not be watching the tell all - especially cause it's from Screech's book which we all know he was a sore loser
    3. I ended up taking a long lunch to the SS office to get it changed and happily was back at my desk within the hour!!
    4. I confess I tend to look down if I see someone coming that I don't want to talk to...sorry!

  20. Confession: I've never had peanut butter m&m's! Crazy, right? I totally need to try that now.

I can't look at the actor who plays Screech anymore.. not knowing that after Saved by the Bell, he did porn. Eep.

  21. we have new techies that work in my office and we don't really have interaction but i sometimes pass them in the hallway and i am always friendly and THEY NEVER ANSWER ME!!!!!!!! UGH

    ReplyDelete
  22. Ok, lets get the important stuff out first. PEANUT M&M's are CLEARLY the BEST! Duh! I mean, it isn't even a question.

Ummm I thought she was standing with no pants. Ewe.

I have a crap ton of emails too. I never delete any from actual people, just the sales and junk emails. You never know when you have to go back!

  23. You always have the best confessions!!

  24. Saying hi to someone and not getting anything in return is obnoxious. I also hate when you say hi and you know they heard you because they look in your direction and give a subtle half smile or head nod- just say hello back! It's just common courtesy! Gahhh! And that error, especially for that degree is terrible! I hope they get new ones!

  25. I confess that I think I just fell in love with you over these confessions, and then when I saw Lana del Rey's album on your Spotify sidebar? We could be besties.

  26. Hey Emily!! I totally agree, Sting should totally give his kids something!! And I cant believe there was a typo on the certificates lol!! That camel toe is awful!! They totally saw that!! Oh and I totally hoard my e-mails! Its so weird lol!! Great post Emily! XOXO

  27. oh god those pants. that is unfortunate for her. and to the commenter above... i also have a coworker who doesn't say hi to anyone! we were in the elevator together the other day and i said good morning and he gave me the stink eye. WTF.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Those. Pants. What the hell? Someone had to have noticed that. Makes you wonder how much someone hates her ;) Or maybe that's just where my warped mind jumps to haha.

I also hate it when you acknowledge someone and say hi and they can't even do the same. Rude much?

    ReplyDelete
  29. I totally didn't notice Andi's horrible camel toe, yikes. How could I miss that?! That's ridiculous that they messed up the diplomas. It drives me nuts when people don't acknowledge when you say something to them.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Oh girl I have almost 10,000 emails in my inbox - I rarely delete but need to do so soon! And I sooooo feel for the diploma people - I plan events at a school and there is always a mistake in the program (usually a name spelled wrong) and it goes through so many hands that everyone assumes everyone else will catch it and it's a total nightmare - but it's still funny!

    ReplyDelete
  31. OMG where to start? I don't watch The Bachelorette but that has to be the worst camel toe of all time. I mean seriously?! I also don't have cable so I had no idea about this Saved by the Bell Lifetime movie?!?! I need to know more!!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Saved by the bell Lifetime movie: I can't. I just can't. I AM SO EXCITED it's ridiculous. haha

    ReplyDelete
  33. LMFAO at that camel toe!!!! I'm dying!!!!

And yes, I totally thought she was naked from the waist down!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. There's going to be a SBTB movie?! HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS? Thank you for imparting this valuable information!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Great confessions. I agree that goverment hours are completely assinine. Noticed them same thing about Andi this week... first thought she was naked from the waist down.

  38. At first I thought Andi went pant-less, too! That is pretty bad...how did she not notice it was doing that??

    ReplyDelete
  39. OMG you just made me crave reeses pieces and peanut m&ms so bad!! And your fear of it getting lost in the mail is totally rational; when I applied for my passport at the post office they took the original of my birth certificate and promised they'd mail it back.. well they mailed it back alright, but they delivered it to my neighbors house!! Are you kidding me?! Thank goodness we were friends with those people!

    ReplyDelete
  40. The diploma is hilarious, hello people spell check!! Screech behind the scenes would be hilarious!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I'm an email hoarder too, I have like 10,000 emails! eek!!! Oh and I hate when people don't say hi or completely ignore you if you say hi, I find that weird. Why aren't people more friendly these days.

  42. HAHA, my SO's mom is a nurse and I'm sure she is beyond sick of me calling her to give her my symptoms to make sure I don't have to go to the ER or something. I have no shame. PB m+ms are so much better but they only have reese's pieces at the movie theater which sucks. :(
