Summer Confessions!

This week is a short work week! Thank you, America! My vacation cannot come soon enough! So with that being said, it's time to confess....

+ I confess that I have zero time for people who project their problems onto others and who constantly have this negative world view err' day. And I mean EVERY SINGLE DAY. Like, can you eat a bowl of sunshine for breakfast instead of dog shit for once? K, thanks. Sometimes the only person who can make your day better is yourself!

+ I confess that it was Luigi's 8th birthday yesterday and I most definitely sang him happy birthday when I got up in the morning and gave him turkey snacks for breakfast. (I know, I'm weird.) My furbabies are my kids. Deal. He's the trendiest cat in town. I mean come on, look at that bow tie.

+ I confess that I've gained weight and I have ZERO time for that. (I blame the many grad parties and celebrations as of late). It's time for me to get my shit together and have zero cheat days for the sake of my new bikini. It's amazing what one careless weekend can do to you! I've scheduled all of my workouts though and plan on doing a 10-day cleanse soon to kickstart things. Running in this heat is really rough, but the only answer to that is Michael Jackson.

+ I confess that if I don't kill a good song for myself by playing it a million times, the radio will. If I hear John Legend's "All Of Me" one more time - including the dumb club remix version - I might go clinically insane. But really, this was what he was singing about...

+ I confess that I get unreasonably angry when I need new workout clothes and ONE tank top is $60. Really? REALLY? I'm not going to spend that kind of money on clothing that I'll sweat in. I don't care if you give it a fancy name either..

+ I confess that I still need to start finish...my thank you cards for the wedding gifts. I actually like to write out thoughtful thank you notes instead of just writing down the same damn thing in all of them. Also...in order to write out over 100 of these bad boys...what do I need?

+ I confess that I absolutely cannot handle today's high school population. The Fourth of July fest is right by my house and they apparently think I should go off-roading in my car so they can walk right in the middle of the road. Don't think I'll hesitate to knock that Starbucks out of your hand while I pass you by and slap you in the face with that cup. Don't these people get summer jobs anymore? What's wrong with them? Are those high waisted shorts so far up their asses, they can't think straight?

I don't know about anyone else, but I fricken love fireworks. They never get old for me. And all of the festivals? Bring it on! What else do you love about the Fourth of July?? Confess!!

  3. Awww bowties are the best! Phil, my greyhound, is famous for bowties and stick on mustaches. I'm ridiuclous, I can't even help it.
OMG YES to the All of You! And now I want KK, thanks. And this heat + my lunch time runs is KILLING ME. I wanted to vomit up my lunch on Monday and I'm sure today is going to be equally bad since it's supposed to be about the temp of the sun today with 200% humidity.

  4. oh, don't even get me started on the young teenage wangfaces in my area. we have a crop of them across the street and they litter the streets every goddamn day play basketball and shit. when they see us coming towards our driveway, them bitches don't even move out of the way so guess what? i just keep going without slowing down. it's them or the car and i know who would win in a showdown.

    thanks for linking up!

  5. Im doing a cleanse to to jumpstart my new eating well regime. I just cant keep up with the unhealthy life I was living. I agree about negativity though, Its ok once in a while we all have our days but nothing irks me more than someone who constantly complains and whines. Ugh.

  6. I have a few friends who do nothing but complain and I can't take it. In fact, I barely speak to them anymore. I can't do it.

I'm so excited for the 4th. My 7 year old hates crowds and loud noises (she's clearly an old lady and not a child) so we drive to this causeway and watch fireworks from the car. No people, no bugs, and we get to take the dogs. It's probably our favorite 4th tradition.

  7. I get SO mad about how expensive workout stuff is. Seriously? I'm just going to sweat and get nasty in this, and you want $60 for it?!? No thank you. I think Lululemon has the cutest stuff but I refuse to pay that much for a tank, sorry. And I love fireworks too!! SO excited for the 4th!

  10. That bow tie is super sweet, he is one dapper cat. I feel that way about the Youths in our college town - everytime I drive down there, they annoy me by their dumb conversations I eavesdrop on or making me stop in the middle of the road.

  11. Oh I love fireworks too! We are totally going to see them this year! Last year, no one was throwing them close... sooo... no fireworks for us!

ALSO: High School youth bother me too, and were (kind of) part of my confessional too. All I got to say is 2- in the FREAKING MORNING.... I'll let you read the rest.

Found you through the Confession Link Up!
So glad I did... Stop by and read mine!

  13. "Are those high waisted shorts so far up their asses, they can't think straight?" Love it!! I honestly don't think they look good on anyone, but to each their own. I can't wait for fireworks, and festivals with funnel cake mmmmmm....

  14. Overly negative people are a waste of space. The donut/All Of Me Meme wins the internet today!! Youths are so annoying, I never thought I'd say that but I just did!

  15. bahaha I have to admit, I still buy all my workout clothes at Walmart. It's pretty much the only reason I go there, that shit is legit.

  17. Happy bday Luigi!!! What a cutie!!!!!!

I have no time for negative people or projectors either!

I have been eating all the bad things and gaining some weight lately too! SO frustrating!

I LOL'd at the donut song meme! OMG!

I buy most of my work out clothes at the outlets or TJ Maxx because hello...I am cheap lol!

  18. I love wearing red/white/blue like a dork for the Fourth. I hate fireworks though because my one dog has a major meltdown and has actually injured himself in the past. Don't ask. hahaa

Hell no to a $60 tank.

    Happy birthday Luigi!

I am really annoyed that the high waisted shorts are back.

  19. Ohh make sure you delegate some of those thank you notes to your other half!!

  20. I hate All of Me now, it makes me irrationally angry! And wtf is up with expensive workout clothes? I will wear free tshirts, thank you very much!

  23. Hahaha I feel like I just met my soul-blogger in terms of annoyances and confessions! Seriously feel the same way about "All of Me" AND just saw that donut pic last night and lost it. Also, I already feel like an old person with all my, "Back when I was in high school...." stuff, and I only graduated four years ago!

  24. LMFAO at these youths! And hell no to that tank top!! I'd rather get the whole outfit for $50 at Fabletics, thank you very much.

  26. I have gained weight too. I don't care. I enjoy my food way too damn much. And happy birthday Luigi! Love his name btw!

  27. I love your sass! I lol'ed real hard at the confession about the youth of today. I can't stand them either. We were driving somewhere late a couple of night ago, when all of a sudden the road lit on fire. It was because two stupid teen boys decided to throw gas on it and then light fireworks. Like really???
