Chicago Color Run!!!

All I can say was that today was epic. Although I needed to get up at an ungodly early hour for a Saturday, it was well worth it. The Color Run is without a doubt the most amazing nationwide race EVER. I along with my my man and friends were able to register before slots were all sold out months ago and the day finally came. I was lucky enough to hear about this race through another blog. Apparently it's held in all major cities and a slot is a hot commodity. We all came up with a team name (The Spartans) and geared up in white to make the best of getting smacked with as much color as possible at each mile marker. Anyway, this is an entry best told in crazy awesome photos!

There was no way I was going to function properly sans Starbucks at that hour.

Before the color run...we were so clean...

Each mile marker was a different color. We all made it a personal goal to get slammed with as much color as possible. There is nothing more fun than becoming a human canvas.

This was pretty much the most fun I've had during a race. People were covered in crazy colors in their hair, on their face and clothes. This is what we ended up like post Color Run. We were victorious.

This was my honey's first race too so the standards were set pretty high I must say. He did great! A victory kiss was in order.

After crossing the finish line and dancing like crazy people to the music that was blasting, we were all armed with color packs of our own before the race so we could be a part of the post race color fest. On their count, we were to unleash our color packs and let it rain all sorts of colors!

Overall, The Spartans had a blast running the Color Run and will definitely sign up next year.

Having that much fun on such a gorgeous day is definitely exhausting and it was most definitely a task getting all that color out of my blonde hair. A shower never felt so good. Until next time Color Runners!!
